Welcome to the
Norma Wood Library
Digital Preservation and Historical Archives
The Digital Preservation and Historical Archives was created in 1997 by
the Norma E. Wood Library at Arkansas State University Mountain Home to
preserve and disseminate knowledge about Ozark Mountain history.
The Library has completed its first project, the digitization of images
and text relating to the Wolf House. The Wolf House is on the National
Register of Historical Places and is believed to be the oldest house in
Arkansas.
The Digital Preservation and Historical Archives logo was set in Goudy
Old Style ATT using Corel PHOTO-PAINTTM.
The picture used in this logo, titled "A Scribe", is in the public domain
and was scanned from the Hart Picture Archives: Volume 1, A Compendium.
(New York: Hart Publishing Company Inc., 1976). The source of the
picture is Album: Fifty Years of Soviet Art: Graphic Arts. Kupetsian,
A., ed. Moscow: Soviet Artist (Sovetskii Khudozhnik), no date. The background image for this page was borrowed from Toni Schwindt's collection
of Japanese paper backgrounds.
